My First Show!!!

Last Saturday I went to my very first show!!  I was really nervous, I had no idea what to expect at a show!  So, I got up at 5:30AM and got chores done and everything packed up for the show.   My dad and I were on the road to the We Be Rabbit Club Show in Hutchinson around 7AM, and got there around 7:30 AM.

After we got registered we had to find the lady that had said she could tattoo Onyx for me.  Thanks so much!

I had no idea how much sitting you do at a show!!!

Finally something about Hotots was said over the loudspeaker and we all rushed over to where they were getting judged.  The judge for the first show was Tonna Thomas.  She was also able to take some time after the show to give me some lessons in DH type.  It was a big help. :)

I was really nervous. :)

I couldn't believe it when she said that HH004 was the winner!!!  I am so proud of him. :)

Long story short..... I stayed for the next 2 shows and was judged under:

and Don Havlicek.  Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of him judging Onyx. ;(

And he won 1st place of the junior bucks in all 3 shows!!!!  Now I have 3 blue ribbons and am so excited to bring him to shows in the future!!

Thanks so much to Debbie McLaughlin for all her help with my first show.

Thanks also to my dad for coming with me to the show and supporting me with my new adventure with Dwarf Hotots.  Thanks so much Dad!  You are the best. :)

I also want to say congratulations to my friend Emily and her buck who won 1st place of Senior bucks and won BOB in all 3 shows!!  Good job Emily!!

I am so excited!

This Saturday I will be going to my very first rabbit show!!  I am really excited to go and talk to all the breeders and see all the bunnies there.  I am sure I will be very tempted to buy a rabbit, but right now I am kinda tight on space.  I hope to build more cages in the near future.
I will be taking Onyx with me.   I am really excited to see how he will do.  I hope he doesn't molt like a couple days before, then I wouldn't have any other bunnies to take!  Hopefully this fall I will have a couple juniors to take.

He does not look good in this picture.  He was not working with me today. :)

And miss Ruby, crabby as ever, due the beginning of May.....

Last weekend I planted some flowers outside my rabbitry, hoping to make the outside look pretty.  I think it does. :)  Sorry the picture isn't the best, it was kinda windy when I took it.  Also, ignore the pitchfork in the background. :)

And the two remaining babies, hopefully going to their new home this week.

I had to hold them to keep them still long enough to take the picture. :)

I will let you know about any show results!  I am really excited and kinda nervous for Saturday. :)
